California’s Strongest Man/Woman Competition

We are now entering the 24th year of California’s Strongest Man & Woman. East Coast West Coast Strength Speed & Conditioning and Pro Strongman Scott Brengel will be promoting California’s Strongest Man/Woman in Huntington Beach, CA on March 28, 2026. The competition will begin around 10am (each event will last approximately 1 hour). The event will be sanctioned by Strongman Corporation and the top amateur athletes will qualify for Nationals. The winner of the Pro/Am divisions will receive their Pro Card and compete in America’s Strongest.

In Pro/Am classes:

• The highest placing Amateur on the podium will earn a Pro Card! There is exactly one Pro Card available per class regardless of the number of athletes in the class.

• Top 3 athletes qualify for America's Strongest in their respective class.

• Top 3 Amateur athletes qualify for the 2027 Arnold Pro/Am (regardless of placement or number of athletes in the class).

• Top 5 Amateur athletes qualify for 2026 Nationals (regardless of placement or number of athletes in the class).

In non-Pro/Am (Amateur) classes:

• Athletes are eligible for Nationals, America's Strongest Master, and America's Strongest Teen depending on what class they compete in and their age on competition day.

• Qualification Standards follow those of a normal Amateur competition (https://strongmancorporation.com/qualification-standards/):

- 1 athlete in a class: the promoter may merge the class with another class; if the athlete competes alone they will earn an invite by completing (i.e. not “zeroing”) at least 4 of the 5 events to the standards originally set forth by the promoter.

- 2-4 athletes in a class: 1st place qualifies for Nationals

- 5-9 athletes in a class: 1st and 2nd place qualify for Nationals

- 10+ athletes in a class: 1st-3rd place qualify for Nationals

• Masters Athletes qualify for America's Strongest Master by placing in the top 3 of a Masters class *or* in the top 5 of an Open class.

• Teens qualify for America's Strongest Teen by participating in a Teen, Novice, or Open division.

Weigh ins: Early Weigh-ins Friday 10am to Noon at ECWC (2930 Grace Lane, Unit A, Costa Mesa, CA); Contest Day Weigh-ins begin at 8am.
